Women's Health
Women around the world are always at risk when it comes to their health, and speaking about these concerns/issues is not easy. Every woman wants to live a longer and healthier life, but this requires the knowledge and motivation to become familiar with ones body, mind, and inner being. Maintaining a good diet, at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day, and exercising 30 minutes everyday is a great start to a healthier life. The body craves a good supply of vitamins and minerals, and the best are fruits and veggies,
which are great sources of antioxidants. Antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E, and selenium, reduce a person's chances of developing heart disease and certain cancers.
Participating in an activity on a regular basis helps keep your heart healthy, your joints strong, and your weight in check. The release of endorphins makes a person feel better about them self, considering it's the body's feel-good chemical. At least 5 days a week and for 30 minutes a day of exercise like, brisk walking, biking, swimming, or dancing to music is recommended.
Another consideration for a healthier life is a moderate consumption of alcohol of up to 2 units a day has show to lessen the risk of heart disease in men over 40 and in women who have gone through menopause. A unit of alcohol is the equivalent of half a pint of ordinary strength beer or larger, a glass of wine, or a pub measure of spirit. |
